I would imagine that even Obama had to be shocked with this award. Surprisingly, most of the so-called liberal media has even protested to this outrageously political gift.
Obama received the award based on his resolve to “strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples”. Unbelievable. What has he done to strengthen diplomacy and cooperation? How does escalating a war in Afghanistan accomplish this? How does an ongoing war in Iraq fall in line with this award? And last time I checked Guantanamo Bay was still operating. Since when do the slogans of “hope” and “change” equal “accomplishment?”
I think he won the award for two reasons: 1) He’s not George W. Bush or Dick Cheney. The committee wanted to say thanks for getting those two morons out of office. 2) The committee supports his strategies because they strengthen their global agenda.
I can’t really argue the second reason: I think Obama is playing into the hands of a world government (yep, I am already dropping a one world government conspiracy theory in my first post for the blog).
The real problem I have is that Obama is actually following the Bush/Cheney doctrine that outraged many world leaders. Let’s face it; Obama has so far continued the policies of the neo-cons, especially in regards to foreign relations. Is this conspiracy thinking that someone else is pulling the strings? Some mastermind controlling the US? I’m not willing to go that far just yet, but I find it amusing that so far the Obama administration has only expanded on the debacle that helped ensure his election.
Even Obama supporters have to be puzzled with this award. I would think that previous winners of the peace prize would be outraged. Hopefully this award backfires on the Obama administration and embarrasses the committee and their love affair with Obama. If nothing else, it has diminished the award for years to come.

I didn't know they handed out prizes for being a POS!!! Maybe it's a Nobel POS prize..
ReplyDeleteWhat was he nominated for?
Possibly:
1. Defeating Hillary Clinton?
2. Running a spectacular political campaign?
3. Bankrupting America his first month in office?
4. Spending more money than any human being in the history of earth?
5. Apologizing to Muslims for the liberation of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan from brutal Muslim regimes?
What has the Big “O” done to win the Peace Prize:
1. He’s a democrat – check
2. Invented the phrase “Hope and Change” -check
3. Became president without revealing his birth certificate and proving eligibility-check
4. Working on a “global economy” - foreigners love that
5. Promised no tax increases to 95% of Americans out of one side of his mouth, and is raising taxes on gas, energy, heating fuel, etc..
6. Fooled 53 million voters with the help of ACORN
7…8…9…10… etc…
I wonder if Obama is as clueless as the rest of us as to why he was nominated and later won the prize?
This proves that the Nobel Peace Prize has gone to hell. I thought it was bad enough when the lame ass Al Gore received it for his climate change campaign and creating a movie full of dramatic pictorial findings that have since been found inconclusive or completely wrong.
The Nobel Peace Prize has become a worthless reward.
